VDR-Distributionen

VDR kann auf allen gängigen Linux-Distributionen aufgesetzt werden. Wenn man mit einer Distribution bereits Erfahrung hat, spricht nichts dagegen, diese auch für VDR einzusetzen. Ansonsten gibt es auch Distributionen, die eigens für den VDR gebaut sind:

Mit der Struktur der Distributionen ist der Ablauf vom Start bis zum Beenden des VDR sowie die jeweilige Verzeichnisstruktur gemeint, in welcher die ausführbaren Programme und Skripte sowie die Vielzahl der Konfigurationsdateien systematisch untergebracht sind. Sowohl die Namen als auch die Orte der vom VDR aufgerufenen oder eingelesenen Dateien können mit den Distributionen variieren.
